Request Candidates for May 2012 Election

The nominating committee consisting of Karen Justesen (chair), MaryAnn Banta and Tabitha Ishmael is soliciting suggestions for candidates for the elected and appointed officers whose terms expire June 2012. All officer terms are for two years and the new officers will serve until June 2014. If you are interested in serving in any of the positions whose terms are expiring, contact any member of the nominating committee.

The regular election of officers will take place at the May branch meeting. One elected officer, treasurer, will be elected at that meeting. In addition to the elected officer whose term is expiring, the terms of appointed officers membership vice president and program vice president are also expiring. These officers will be appointed by the board before the May meeting and will be presented for acceptance by the membership at the May meeting.

The officers whose terms are expiring are:

  • Treasurer (elected), Catherine Randazzo
  • Membership Vice President (appointed), Phoebe Faris
  • Program Vice President (appointed), Karen Leath

Some of these officers may agree to serve again. However, the nominating committee would like to hear from anyone who is interested in serving. In addition to the nomination of the nominating committee, members may make nominations from the floor at the May meeting (with the consent of the person being nominated) for the office of treasurer.
